ACT I · Set the scene
Where it started.
I grew up with a mum who talks at a million miles an hour (she’s Irish), a dad who haggles with taxi drivers, and two non-speaking autistic brothers. So I learned early that communication goes way beyond language.
You can have a script Shakespeare would be proud of and still put them to sleep.You can stumble over a word and still be the one they quote afterwards.
It’s not just what you say. It’s how you say it.

How I got here

Act II↓Enter, stage leftMountviewI started training as an actor and discovered voice classes weren’t just singing. You could actually learn to use your voice for speaking. Somewhere along the way, I realised I didn’t want to act as badly as everyone else did. (Drama school is intense. Like, really intense.)Act III↓The academic detourWarwickSo I took myself off to Warwick and became an academic, studying English Literature and Theatre. Of course, I still found my way back to the stage, taking a show to China and an improv show to the Fringe. The best experience.Act IV→Plot twist: a pandemicLockdownThen I graduated straight into a pandemic and started what’s now MPVC. Suddenly, everything started to click into place.me, speaking to the BBC
